USI Affinity overview
USI Affinity sells a wide range of travel and travel medical insurance, with a focus on group and corporate travel. To get single-trip travel insurance, you need to buy a policy through the travel insurance comparison site Squaremouth or from a USI Affinity agent.
USI Affinity travel insurance plans
USI Affinity offers two single-trip travel insurance plans: Ruby and Diamond. Both plans all come with 24/7 worldwide assistance services in any language. Coverage for COVID-19 is included in trip cancellation and interruption benefits. To get these plans, you may have to go through Squaremouth or contact a USI Affinity travel insurance agent.
Ruby
The USI Affinity Ruby plan gets 3.5 stars in our analysis of the best travel insurance companies. It offers medium- to high-level coverage at a competitive price. The Ruby plan includes the following coverages:
- Emergency medical evacuation: $500,000.
- Emergency medical: $250,000.
- Trip cancellation: 100% of eligible trip costs.
- Trip interruption: 150% of eligible trip costs.
- “Cancel for any reason” CFAR (optional): Reimburses up to 75% of eligible trip costs.
This plan also includes other coverages like baggage loss or delay, travel delay, missed connections and 24-hour accidental death and dismemberment.
You can also get a pre-existing medical condition exclusion waiver if you purchase a Ruby plan within 14 days of your initial trip deposit and you are not disabled to the point you can’t travel. Travel insurance typically doesn’t cover pre-existing conditions, but may cover them with this waiver.
